Cultural and Natural Resources Consulting Services, Wake Island

TEC conducted an evaluation of the status of natural and cultural resource management for Operations on Wake Island. Wake Island is operated by Chugach Support Services for the U.S. Air Force. TEC provided historic properties management guidance, including inventory of museum artifacts, development of standard operating procedures for preservation, and maintenance of cultural resources. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted to assess the risk of invasive species to be introduced to the island or exported off-island. Procedures were developed for preventing invasive species movement as well as control of invasive species present on-island. Training materials were developed and training was conducted for staff in natural and cultural resources management.
