U.S. Marine Corps BUILDER Sustainment Management System

Location: Seven Marine Corps Bases
Client: Headquarters Marine Corps, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest

TEC is supporting Headquarters Marine Corps and Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest with implementation of the BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS) to improve facility management practices across the Marine Corps. TEC conducted Facilities Condition Assessments for approximately 1,300 buildings totaling 17,000,000 square feet, at seven U.S. Marine Corps bases.

The BUILDER SMS tool, developed by the U.S. Army, is a web-based facilities assessment and analysis software for building portfolio asset management. Assessments are performed on individual buildings and systems to collect inventory data and assess system/component condition to determine objective, repeatable Condition Indices for each building system and overall facility. The results are used to support optimal funds allocation for facilities sustainment.
