NEPA permitting for multi-modal Washington State Department of Transportation, Bellevue, WA

Cardno TEC is part of the WSDOT Design Build Team of the Eastside Corridor Constructors Team that includes Granite and PCL Construction on a 3 mile stretch of SR-520 in Bellevue, Washington. The project is a multi-modal Washington State Department of Transportation project that will construct new transit station lids over the freeway, expanded HOV lanes, new bicycle/pedestrian trails, noise walls, and implement a watershed approach for improving fish passage and habitat through creation of up to 1000 new lineal feet of open channel for salmon. Cardno TEC is leading the NEPA amendment process, federal, state, and local permitting for the entire 306 million dollar project and the habitat restoration, culvert replacements, noise wall construction, grading and filling, and wetlands mitigation elements.
