Environmental Analyst/Planner Seattle, WA
NEPA/SEPA planner needed to work with the full-service consulting team of Cardno-TEC. The successful candidate will preferably have a background in consulting with practical knowledge of NEPA/SEPA; environmental planning, permitting and regulations; shoreline substantial development permitting; and/or related expertise. The successful candidate must have the ability to work on a variety of projects with public and private sector clients in a fast paced environment. Experience with air emissions estimation, sustainability, and climate change adaption studies is a plus.
Successful candidates must have good writing and communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a positive attitude. Good interpersonal skills are a must, as successful candidate will be interacting with both internal and external clients.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years post graduate experience, preferably in consulting
- Minimum BS degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Engineering or comparable degree in related field.
- Working understanding of federal, state and local permitting regulations, State and National Environmental Policy Act, Washington State Growth Management Act, Shoreline Act, and Critical Areas regulations and associated permitting requirements.
Other Duties as assigned –
NEPA/SEPA activities will be working with the Environmental Group Project Managers in preparing environmental projects and documents primarily for federal agencies. Duties will be related to gathering technical information, analyzing information, preparing environmental assessment of impacts and effects, and mitigations.
