Dale Johannesmeyer is responsible for the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation for all disposal actions and subsequent reuse of Navy and Marine Corps installations listed for operational closure under the 2005 Base Closure and Realignment Act. Before coming to TEC, he had over 30 years of experience directing base development, capital improvements, and environmental planning programs for the Navy. He served in a succession of roles at Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (SOUTHDIV), including responsibility as program manager of Base Development and Planning and Real Estate Services. His military experience totaled 23 years of active and reserve duty and culminated in his reaching the rank of Captain in the Civil Engineer Corps.

Dale holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and a Masters of Engineering degree in thermo-mechanical systems, both from the University of South Carolina. He is a Registered Professional Engineer.
