Joe Lockerd started the TEC Denver, Colorado office in 2002 and has managed the office as it has diversified its services and grown into TEC’s second largest office. Joe is a Wildlife Ecologist by training and early experience; however, over his 29 years in the environmental consulting business, he has developed proficiency in preparing NEPA documentation, conducting hazardous waste site investigations and remedial actions, and developing programs for environmental data management. For the past 18 years he has focused on multi-media regulatory compliance auditing, becoming a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor in 2004. As an expert in federal, state, and local regulations, he helps public-sector clients improve their operations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. As a management consultant, Joe also assists clients with implementation of International Standards Organization (ISO) 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and audits EMS conformance to the ISO standard.
