Kathleen Riek joined TEC in 2005 and now manages the company’s York office. She is an environmental scientist with 18 years of experience in environmental planning, impact analysis, and public involvement. She has managed complex projects for a variety of clients, including federal agencies, state and local governments, and private-sector interests. Her experience includes projects ranging from energy development for the oil and gas industry to highway construction and bridge replacements for state and local transportation departments, as well as facility construction, military training, and aircraft homebasing for the Department of Defense.

Kathleen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has numerous certifications in public participation, cumulative effects assessment, and wetlands delineation. She belongs to several professional organizations including the International Association for Public Participation, National Association of Environmental Professionals, Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Professionals, and Society of Women Environmental Professionals.
