James "Jim" Reed

Jim Reed is a Principal and Senior Project Manager with Cardno TEC. He has over 29 years of experience in planning, program management, design, and construction management of container terminals, general cargo terminals, intermodal yards, marine structures, dredging, pavements, and rail transportation projects. With Cardno TEC, he has been directly responsible for managing multiple port projects in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, and internationally.

As Program Manager for the Hawaii Port Infrastructure Expansion Program, he led a multidisciplinary team of in-house staff, design consultants and construction contractors to plan, design, and construct improvements to Hawaii’s commercial harbors.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Montana State University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He is a registered Professional Engineer, and holds a Class A Contractor’s License in Hawaii.
