Kurt Schweigert is a TEC Principal and serves as a leader for TEC’s Energy Initiative. He has worked extensively with clients in oil and gas exploration and development, pipelines, coal and uranium mining, hydroelectric generation, wind energy, and electrical transmission for more than 30 years.

Kurt is a senior cultural resources expert with wide geographic experience in the contiguous United States and in Alaska and the Pacific islands. His project experience includes survey and National Register nomination of the Iditarod National Historic Trail, Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) documentation of Hoover Dam, historical investigations of colonial and later properties in Virginia, HAER documentation of a WWII Manhattan Project uranium laboratory in Colorado, and preparation of an Historic Asset Management Plan for Pearl Harbor and other Navy facilities in Hawaii.

Kurt has served on the Board of Advisors for the National Trust for Historic Preservation and on the Board of Directors of the American Cultural Resources Association.
