Marcel Veilleux leads the international port practice at TEC and is a TEC Principal. He has over 28 years of experience in planning, engineering, design, construction, and start-up of port facilities and their related cargo handling systems. He focuses on program management from planning and engineering through construction. His assignments have included container, general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, and multi-product terminals.
Marcel has specific expertise managing multi-national design teams and has completed projects in over 20 countries. Recently he led efforts to plan, market, and negotiate a concession agreement, on a build-own-transfer basis, for a “greenfield” deep-water port that will serve as a regional container transshipment hub for West Africa.
Prior to joining TEC in 2003, Marcel was a senior consulting engineer for Soros Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and has been an invited speaker at a number of port conferences.
